About the place
The Unda river valley below Mount Agung, with rice terraces, villages and roads one scooter wide. Old-Bali postcards were shot here, and the painter Walter Spies lived here in the 1930s. Tourists are few and walks start straight from the villas, along paths between fields, over suspension bridges across the river and past cafés facing Agung.
