About the place
The second of the three caldera lakes, the largest and quietest. There is no temple and no tourist infrastructure, just lakeside camping, canoes, a path along the water and morning mist. The road from Munduk to Bedugul runs along the ridge above the lake.
The slopes around grow strawberries, coffee and cloves that support the villages. From the Wanagiri road both Buyan and Tamblingan are visible at once.
