About the place
Canggu's main beach and the point the whole area grew around. Black volcanic sand, a soft long wave over a sandy bottom and dozens of surf schools, so most of the island's beginners stand up on a board here for the first time. Cafés and bars line the shore and the beach fills completely towards sunset.
For a villa owner it is the yardstick for distance, since properties 5–10 minutes by scooter from Batu Bolong rent best and highest. Parking is paid, there is one road to the beach and it jams at rush hour.
