About the place
A lotus pond in the centre of Candidasa opposite Pura Candidasa temple, which gave the village its name. A promenade with cafés and hotels surrounds it and the main road passes alongside.
It is the reference point of the centre, and villas and hotels along the coast measure their distance from here. In the evening the lagoon is quiet and only the surf is heard.
